My Story

Hi, I'm Joan Hutchens and for 11 years I have been with Stemtech Health Sciences, the company who is the pioneer in stem cell nutrition.  Yes, nutrition.  Your adult stem cells, the ones in your bone marrow, need nutrition so they can be released, circulate and migrate to areas in your body that need them the most.

My background is not in the medical field.  For over 40 years, both my husband and I had been in the pet industry in one way or another, but mostly involved with the retail end, either working for others or having our own pet stores.  One of our stores was in Port Charlotte for over 20 years.  And during those years I learned much in the way of nutrition and how our bodies work, in both pets and people. 

Also, during those years, I had breast cancer.  After a mastectomy, chemotherapy and a failed breast reconstruction, I decided to take my health into my own hands and changed my diet.  And during that time I voraciously read any book for people like me on the anatomy of the body and the nutrition it needs to keep healthy.  Allow me to suggest that if you have not done something like that, you should.  Biology class in high school was a long time ago.
